I love combining lettering and illustration. I often like to take the messaging of lettering to another level by adding detailed, supportive illustration that furthers the message.
Collection of book covers I've created for Penguin Random House, Hodder & Stoughton, Simon & Schuster, Dunemere Books, Hachette, Little Brown Books, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Tyndale, Danae Haas, and McMillian Press.
Mural work for my home, Ben & Jerry’s, Cinemark Theaters, Harrington Center For the Arts, Jibe Media, SoMighty Studio, City of Sugar House, and The Hall of Breakfast.
A selection of my editorial work from Country Living Magazine, LA Times, The Lily, Wizz Magazine, Little White Lies, Departure Magazine, Time Out New York, Southern Living Magazine, Washingtonian Magazine, Baltimore Magazine, Christianity Today, Kazoo, Seattle Metropolitan, American Girl Magazine and others.
Here's a little peek into my process.
I always start with a good brainstorm session, then create a handful of sketched explorations for the first round. Per feedback, I move on to about 3 digital color roughs. Upon direction approval, I then create the final artwork using whatever medium appropriate, whether digital or analog. Final artwork is then sent to client upon final approval.
